I honestly don't know what Netflix is thinking anymore. CTRL is another movie that rehashes the tired AI concept we've all seen before, adding absolutely nothing new to the genre. The story is weak, predictable, and uninspired, and I'm really wondering who they thought this would appeal to. For a platform that's known for taking risks, this feels like the lowest effort possible. The acting is just as bad. The performances are flat and lifeless, making it impossible to connect with any of the characters.
What frustrates me most is how Netflix keeps churning out these kinds of films for the Indian market, as if they think we'll settle for anything. And the social media buzz? It feels completely manufactured. Instead of throwing money at PR, maybe invest in better writers or better scripts. This movie left me feeling disappointed and annoyed that this is what we get from a platform that's supposed to bring quality content. Save your time, there's nothing here worth watching.
