  • La Dona is a great episode

Episode 6 entitled "La Doña" is one of the most interesting stories of "Tales of TWD", because it addresses the essence of a suspense story and the magic of some horror subgenres in just the right measure. The threat is no longer from Walkers (sleepwalkers), but from supernatural elements. For an episode of only 43 minutes, there are some dialogues that are unnecessarily repeated, but that does not invalidate the filling of this story, as the succession of supernatural charges arrives at the right time to rescue us from what could become monotonous or uninteresting. We literally entered a roller coaster of reactions that mixes between a narrative of suspense and psychological and supernatural horror. This episode gives us several purposeful questions, where we could easily say that there are bad energies in the house or was it all created in Idalia and Eric's imagination? The interaction between the characters, the variations between well-placed languages, and a new culture give us an extra spice in the numerous events. The setting and initial location being filmed with a drone used by the team ensured an interesting sequence and when filmed outside in the fog managed to give us dark scenes providing the story. Scariest I've ever watched of this genre, but deserves my respect for what they set out to do in less than 1 hour on screen. Congratulations to the entire production team. If the intention was to compose a work of Horror, I believe they are on the right path, but there is still a long way to go. Watch the episode and decide which best version your mind can give you. Great performances by Daniella Peneda (Idalia), Danny Ramirez (Eric), Julie Carmen (Doña Alma) and Iris Almario (Maria). Directed by Deborah Kampmeier and screenplay by Lindsey Villarreal.

  • "Davon" Episode 5

This episode has an unusual start and is once again a duo, but in this case the most bizarre and terrifying that Tales of TWD has ever dared to insert into their stories. We see Davon, the main character interacting with a Walker for the first 10 minutes, but it seems his own conscience is leading him to find out what really happened in that memory lapse. There is a constant mixture wandering between the present, the past and the flashbacks, results of a confused mind in the face of the inexplicable. EP 5 is quite interesting, but this constant back and forth won't get you anywhere until the middle of the episode, but it's all very obvious and we know it will soon make sense at the end of the story. Many fans have noticed an easter egg with the main series but for the story it doesn't add anything so far and I also noticed a similarity between Davon and Morgan when it comes to ethics for life. Everything about this episode was very daring, like putting a French community located in Madawaska, Maine, in French period attire, but fit for purpose. For a moment I felt like I was in a Resident Evil 4 game "El Forastero". With a few minutes to go before the end of the episode, as was predictable, the scenario of events finally begins with an attempt to put the pieces together like a puzzle, which for me did not convince me. A bit of a cliché ending and the absence of Walkers is something to be desired.

  • Anthony Edwards and Poppy Liu shone on EP.4!!

EP.4 had an initial factor, which really moved me with a very peculiar format where we see the restructuring of the animal world contrasting with nature in its greatest magnitude. The interaction between the two actors, Anthony Edwards and Poppy Liu is incredible and this is visibly reflected in their characters. The approached psychology of how both see the "new" world leads us to different scopes, patterns of understanding, behavior and migration, whether of the Walkers (Homo Mortuus) or the characters themselves. This episode is about "CONNECTION", whether they are human or not. Dr. Everett connects to a no longer human world, while Amy goes in search of the opposite. The great dialogues hold you much more than strong action scenes, mainly because they contribute in many factors of clarification to the story told. We have a surprising ending where the cycle of evolution of Homo Mortuus (Walkers) is seen being re-established by Dr. Everett with a big and important collaboration from Amy. Finally, the connection is made not in the natural way it should be, but in the way the new world has shown us over the years.

A deserved highlight should be given to the actors: Anthony Edwards and Poppy Liu who shone in the dialogues and interpretations of their characters, directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour and scripted by Ahmadu Garba, this cast was exceptional throughout the entire work. Beautiful photographs and scenery that we haven't seen in the TWD universe for a long time. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew involved in this production. Once again, they managed to positively surprise me.
