The second part of Dune is a direct continuation of the first film. Denis Villeneuve shows the beauty of the world in his own style, but I still found the film's running time to be longer than necessary.

Let's start with the good stuff. There is more visual beauty here, and the most unusual elements give it an epic feel. The sound and music have also become more epic and perfectly support the film's dynamics. The costumes, visuals, colour grading and so on are, well, you know, Denis Villeneuve quality.

But, unlike the first film, the narrative seemed more drawn out and less necessary to me, given the lengthy visualization. If you divide the film into three equal parts, the last part is the least drawn out and doesn't need any major changes, but the second and especially the first part could have been shorter. Also, while watching, I noticed some inconsistencies in the script and the character's motivation, but perhaps I missed something.

I would say that this film is better in terms of the variety of beauty, but the first one is not far behind. There is more water in the second part of Dune, which could have been cut by 10 to 30 minutes, and in general, it was also present in the first part, but it can be attributed to the introduction to the context of the universe. However, unlike the second part, where the context and world are understandable, here everything depends on the pace of the plot, which is slow, as is common in the first part, but the second part feels even slower.

It takes a lot of time to warm up so that you can show more in the second film. The intro to the story is as long as the film itself. And you know what? It doesn't feel that bad!

Denis Villeneuve's direction is a mark of quality not only in production but also in the visuals. The cinematography, costumes, scenes, and action scenes are very spectacular. Excellent graphics. Hans Zimmer's soundtrack and sound design are another strong point. It's an interesting sci-fi universe, but it hasn't been fully explored yet.

Overall, the film is only part of the story and feels like a very long intro to the main film. Yes, there are various actions taking place, and the film doesn't have a complete story, as the emphasis is on the atmosphere and conveying the universe. Whether this is good or bad is up to each individual to decide.

Like many of Denis Villeneuve's works, this film is very strong in terms of visuals and sound. Two and a half hours seems like not quite enough time to get acquainted with the universe, and you end up enjoying what is happening, which is explained in a down-to-earth way, rather than trying to understand exactly how the universe works.

The film was created in the same vein as the first film. It has a very similar narrative chronology and plot development, only with a different location and different villains. It is clear that this is a sequel, but it is not as interesting as the first film.

Let's start with the fact that, overall, the film is well-made. There are many action scenes, which are well done. There is a bit of comedy, but I wouldn't say it's funny.

Having created a very similar copy of the first film, there is nothing particularly interesting here. The action has become less fun and more ordinary, and the plot with silly villains is not very interesting; it felt better in the first film.

If the first film can be rated above 7 out of 10, then this one is below 7 out of 10. It's fine to watch for entertainment and to have a good time, but don't expect anything special.
