The movie is listed as a sci-fi, dark comedy. Unfortunately the comedy was definitely lacking. I gathered Ruffalo's character was probably, meant to be at least part of, the comedy but it falls completely flat. Instead you just see Mark and all his disdain for Trump, oozing from his pores (which he's expressed publicly and loudly for years). You can tell he had fun basking in his hatred while performing this character, making it uninteresting, one dimensional and a nuisance for the film. He's a good actor and I've liked many of his movies (Zodiac, 13 going on 30, All the Light We Cannot See). He let his personal feelings corrupt his portrayal of a character, ruining it. Very disappointing.

The acting by almost all of the actors is comical. It's so over the top and dramatic it made me laugh and not because it was meant to be funny. So far it's pretty heavy with few light spots in the story. They make sure to hit all the current trendy buzz words and inclusive ( <- there's one) characters in the first couple episodes and the story line has been pretty predictable. I'm not sure how far I'll end up getting with this show. I usually try to finish at least the first season to give it and the actors a solid chance. This show may not make the cut. I can't see it getting any better than what I've seen so far.

I watched the entire first season and can safely say the ONLY interesting part of the series is in the last episode. The performances from most of the actors were pretty bad, and they are pretty clearly not teenagers. The politics were tiresome and completely predictable. I'm sick of feeling like I'm watching propaganda. I want to see an interesting piece of art with some creativity that catches me by surprise. This is not that unfortunately. Lastly the storyline felt like it dragged on, probably because of the two issues mentioned above. Don't waste your time. Not sure if there will be a second season, the producers should save their money and try investing in something that isn't so boring.
