Just saw it in connection with Santa Fe opera production of Valkyrie. But we also were at 1990 San Francisco Ring so it connected audience to stage to backstage. The astonishing level of skills it takes to do the show. Having worked in a small house in opera this is an amazing real record of skills and muscle and huge resources on all levels to do opera and especially the Ring. Don't bother if you don't care about theater.

One of the worst half hours I've ever endured on teevee going back to 1958. Generously I give this writing and acting mess a two star rating. This show hangs on by exploiting Indians and native culture in the worst way but usually with some minor shred of creativity. Who thinks this is good drama. Poor actors having to do this Corman 1950s bad filmic style. Maybe they were drugged. What else could explain it. Oh dreams. The first refuge of terrible writers. Most intelligent readers skip over dream sequences which uselessly start chapters to pad out required word counts in this bloated age. No excuse for that in a teevee show with the profound pretensions of this one.
