I watched this a couple weeks ago and wanted to leave some thoughts here... The most striking part of the film is the collection and analysis of first-hand information from within China. Included are voice recordings, letters, interviews, archived websites, and much more. At first, I thought it was a documentary but this is much more than that. We hear the stories of two families; the events of what happened and chronology helps drive this film's "exposé" of forced organ harvesting.
This is not the box office stimulation of action and CGI. Rather, it is an exploration of what makes film-making great - to tell a story with inner meaning. Something that may change a person.

I didn't expect much when I started watching it (on the plane) and my first impression was that the movie was a biography about a family. What I think was difficult and impressive about movie is being able to depict the main character's childhood scenes. These were well done and sent a positive message throughout the movie ( even though there was some drama).
Through the many difficulties, you can learn life lessons from the main character, father, mother, and friends. The movie ending was good and I hope to see a sequel to the movie.
Another interesting thing I found is that creating a movie takes lots of effort.

My friends and I chose this movie on random since we couldn't decide what to watch. Plus, we saw Leonardo DiCaprio in the entrance scenes so we thought to give it a try. In the beginning, I couldn't quite make out what type of movie this was. There were historical-type buildings and the main focus was the people on the island.
Things started to get a bit mysterious around the half way point of the movie and there were lots of flips and turns. At first, we thought he was the bad guy then all of a sudden he was the good guy. No horror scenes as far as I can tell.
If you like a good adventure and mystery movie, give this a try.
