It's like. Season 1 was the best season. Okay, we move on to Season 2. Ehh it's alright. I think Season 2 served as build up for season 3. Which, is the second best season. Season 3 is the season where the writers really put everything in it. Where season 2 fell was that, it lacked climax. Nothing felt scary, we knew everyone was going to live, it lacked the Squid Game of it. But season 3 wow. I haven't felt this invested in Squid Game since 2021! It's amazing. Everything is done well, the suspense. The feeling of not knowing who's going to die. It's all just. Perfect. Perfect. Season 3 is amazing!
Brash, brilliant and badass. Matthew Goode delivers as DCI Carl Morck. Everyone watch it! It's deliciously devious and full of heart. Morck is such a delightful canker sore-fun to watch, probably a bit scary in real life. But I would trust him to protect me. Goode and the rest of the cast was phenomenal. There was an unbelievable amount of swearing, which I had to get used to, and there were definitely some violent and disturbing moments, rightfully so considering the genre. Compelling, dark, yet also hopeful, hilarious and dialed in. One of the best new shows I've seen in years. I've seen a lot of shows where one or two actors are really good, and the rest fall flat, but every character floored me in this. Bring back Carl, Rose, Akram, Moira and Dr. Irving! Give me season 2! Also, Carl needs to get laid. Or at the very least a date. Especially after all he's done and been through. And we can't get that without a second season. Even cantankerous detectives with superiority complexes, anxiety and PTSD need love!
When I was a child, I read the Eternauta comics and loved them. The series is an adaptation of the story to modern times. They created new characters and gave the story a twist to maintain its spirit. It's difficult for foreigners (non-Argentineans) to understand the cultural value the story has for us. However, I recommend ignoring those who try to sell politics with this story. It's simply a story of survival during an alien invasion. Clearly, there's no politics involved. Just a message that should-as a social mandate-reach us all. NO ONE IS SAVED ALONE. The first three episodes (half the season) are a bit slow, but it helps you understand the dynamics of the protagonists and how their limited knowledge of things leads them to narrowly survive. Then, in the second half, you'll see the real action... the kind that will continue until the end of the finals, no matter how many seasons they give us.
