Bosch is right on. Same character. Same skills. Gives us what we expect. The dialogue and acting of the basically all-female supporting roles is horrendous. Like someone else said Maddie has the skills of a seasoned veteran yet her opposition and disrespect to her father just screams spoiled 16 year old brat. Her character wrecks good scenes. And Vasquez. She must be the worst depiction of a female police officer I've ever witnessed. No one speaks like that! Very contrived and low level writing. If I have to hear her say "Boot" one more time I'm writing to the editor. The core crew of the original Bosch series make a cameo it seems to fill out the season but it really is a low-calorie version of the original over all.
Started out strong. First season was suspenseful.
Jonathan Lithgow and Jeff Bridges are excellent. The second season really makes you question the reality of having such old actors in an action role. Jeff Bridges is a great actor but it just seems like it's a struggle for him to get lines out without losing his breath. Was it intentional or his cancer? And I'm pretty sure that Joel Grey, playing Morgan Bote, is so old that he's reading que cards off screen because it definitely appears to be a struggle for him to remember his lines. The two female leads in this season appear just placed in the story to draw it out to make it a full length series but they are really more of an annoyance than anything else. Any Brennan adds nothing to the story. It's like watching The Leftovers again. And Alia Shawkat adds unnecessary frustration to an already confused and boring story. She was a poor choice for the role. Also you will notice the people giving high reviews are basing it on their fetish for dogs. That should say a lot about the content of a film/tv series when all people comment on and base reviews on are the dogs which account for literally 2% of the story.

Anything with Peter Dinklage in it is usually trash. Not sure how he can be taken seriously. Not a good actor by any sense of the word. Was very satisfying seeing such a low well-deserved review of this film. Very commensurate to his career. Not sure what people expected. Now Josh Brolin I'm disappointed in for doing this film. He should have known better. Such a well rounded seasoned actor stooping low enough to have involved himself with this production. Well they never actually made a sequel to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito's Twins. Unfortunately it looks like it got down cycled into this film.
