The trailer made it look like it would be a very exciting spy thriller. It relied on actors like Rahul Bose and Aparshakti Khurana. But in the end, the film disappointed.
The first hour is great. It gradually establishes the background of the story and it seems like something big will happen next. But the last hour was so boring and bogus that it was difficult to watch until the end.
There wasn't much for Rahul Bose or Aparshakti Khurana to do. Weak script. However, Ishwak Singh acted quite well.
The art direction was excellent. Additionally, although the idea behind Café Berlin is brilliant, it defies logic. The story contained possibilities. It might be a more gripping and in-depth political spy thriller if handled with care. However, nothing goes like that, and the plot ultimately devolved into a mediocre spy thriller.

Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Verma, and Jaideep Ahlawat in the same movie. And Sujoy Ghosh is the director. Expectations are high, of course. However, the movie fell far short of those expectations. The narrative was inadequate. Joydeep has outperformed everyone in acting. Additionally, he got more chances to develop his character. All is OK with Kareena Kapoor. Vijay Verma is quite behind them. But despite his limited time, Saurabh Sachdeva was quite good. The movie's setting is charming. I enjoyed taking in Kalimpong's natural splendor. If the plot had been more compelling, the movie would have been better.
