I yesterday watched this 2016 film in its re-release and I bet it was housefull. Many of you might have watched this one already but I skipped it then because I heard it was a tragedy. But now, no other new releases excited me and I decided to give it a shot.
The beginning was slow, it felt like an ages old film where a girl being a little dumber than one should be, was being bullied and awkward everywhere. And then follow some more awkward scenes and I was thinking really, does this even happen?
But gradually, the gears shifted and the film caught pace when this girl does a goof up involving a guy. Strangely, she is disowned by her father and naturally the guy (Harshvardhan Rane) helps her and to what extent, you better watch it.
I am sure you will fall in love with its beautiful songs (they are still playing in my head and in my playlist), the unusual chemistry between the duo that builds gradually, the character and performance of Harshvardhan (I am surprised how we didn't see more of him after this because his acting is top notch: he actually drives the film) and some dialogues which I personally liked. (One of which: Hum sath isliye nhi rehte ki hum bhool jate hain, hum sath isliye rehte hain ki hum maaf kardete hain)
With this, you feel love, pain, suffering, melody at the same time, but need to wait for the second half.

Sky Force is based on an incident that happened during India's first airstrike on Pakistan in 1965 that a very few people know, atleast I didn't.
Without a doubt, everyone should watch this film. Also, it's a sincere, to the point, no nonsense film. The story is about Veer Pahariya's character while Akshay Kumar is the group captain who investigates what happened with him.
The actors are all good, Akshay as the lead is superb, Sharad Kelkar also has an important part, Veer is decent, Nimrat is crisp, Sara is a little off.
The scenes of the airstrike and the drills have been shot really well. The songs are decent, nothing dramatic.
The only part that doesn't work for me are the emotional scenes. I didn't feel much connected, especially with Sara in them.
Overall, this is a real story that is worth knowing about. In a chaos of mass entertainers that solely depend on stars and spice, this film stands on its story and is a must watch!!

Definitely nowhere near to BB1, the OG but definitely much better than BB2. I had least expectations while going to the theatre, but surprisingly once the introduction of Rooh Baba (Kartik Aryan) started, it became interesting.
What went well was the story, the twists and turns almost every moment, all the actors, right from Kartik Aryan to Tripti Dimri, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit were really good. The supporting cast especially Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra and Ashwini Kalsekar added to the humour and the songs.
I loved all the dance songs, especially the Vidya-Madhuri faceoff and Kartik's moves in every song. Janam Samjho Na and Beiraada are on repeat mode for me. I loved watching them on screen.
It's good that it's a new story, nothing to do with the prequels and a well made film.
Overall, it's a family entertainer with a decent comedy, a good story - especially the climax is well crafted and it does have scary moments, just sometimes gets stretchy in the second half but overall it was a quite refreshing watch.
