This is one of those films that could easily earn any rating-from a 1 to a 10. Why? Because it pushes the boundaries of how we define art.
If you're looking for entertainment or a film that makes time fly, this isn't for you. But if you're open to confronting reality-presented in a bold, disturbing, and innovative way-then this might just be your cup of tea.
I'll say this: many viewers won't make it to the end. Not because the film fails, but because it forces them to acknowledge truths about life that are often too uncomfortable to face. This movie isn't interested in commercial appeal. It will not entertain you by usual tricks. Instead, it hits you in the face and shows you the raw reality that many-perhaps the majority-live through.
And yet, it does this with poetic grace. Through a masterful blend of hyperrealistic yet unpretentious visuals and sound-often relying on silence-it elevates the ordinary to something profoundly artistic.
And one last thought: a film like this could only be made in Bruxelles. A true Zinneke will understand exactly what I mean.

This is one of those rare films that might split the audience - some may call it excellent, others might label it a mess. And here's why:
The first half is a very promising piece of art relying on psychological tension. The plot tightens, the performances are compelling (I love both major roles!), camera is inventive, and the direction is sharp. You can feel the pulse of something exceptional building...
But then comes the fall.
As with many psychological thrillers, the real challenge isn't setting the hook - it's reeling the story in. And this is where the movie stumbles. Rather than resolving the tension (I could think of at least two excellent directions which might resolve the plot), the movie drifts into a haze of fantasy and abstraction. Threads are left dangling, logic starts to blur, and what was once a tight, thrilling narrative begins to unravel into confusion.
Yes, great films often leave room for interpretation - ambiguity can be powerful. But there's a fine line between mystery and mess. The ambiguity here doesn't feel intentional or philosophical; it feels like the script simply lost its way.
The second half, weakened by suddenly different type of storytelling and increasingly erratic direction, ultimately undermines the brilliance of the first. What started as a gripping experience ends in a muddled finale that leaves you more frustrated than fascinated. I keep fully opened door that someone likes the second half of the movie, but for my taste, it is more a cheap pathetic philosophy, with too many loose ends. And it does not fit to the first half of the movie! Like it was made by two different authors...
In the end, this film feels like a near miss - a bold experiment that almost became something great, but didn't quite land. A compelling ride that collapses under its own ambition. It will be remembered... but more as a fascinating failure than a true triumph.
