The 3 stars are for Delmar, otherwise I would give this zero stars. Was this an AI-generated script? It stunk. Ridiculous plot details and flat characters. Really what is going on in Hollyweird? They have lost their mojo.it's tiresome waiting through nine tenths of a "thriller," during which every plot turn features a win for the bad guy, just to have some clever babe save the day.

Where the film does all right is in set design. I mean, I have to give it up for the set designers. They created a pretty dreamy penthouse restaurant, and Violet's house is delicious too.

But I don't watch movies for sets. I watch for plots. This one is too twisted and unbelievable. No bad guy can plan that much. Especially when a Seth Rich "street robbery gone wrong" could do the deal more easily, efficiently, and effectively.

So I suffered.just so I could watch Sklenar.

Can I get a buck for every "Are you ok?" even when the person clearly is not okay? Someone wrote about the two very annoying daughters. Annoying and weakly acted. The acting is awful. The plucky soon to be victim white dude is the only okay actor. Idris is annoyingly bad too. He is better in films when he says very very little and lets his good looks carry him, like in Prometheus. He was great in Prometheus. Grunted here and there. Flexed. Very good. Just stand there and look delicious and don't say much. That's the way we like you best. So, this film is Man v Nature and nature is a beast of a CGI lion. Kudos to the CGI team. I felt better about this evil CGI lion than I did about Buck in Call of the Wild. Back to the two annoying kids. Nothing can get them to leap out of the car faster than "stay in the car!" uttered by dad. At some point I started to root for the lion. Oh, and if you think telling actors to ad lib lines, don't.
