I don't understand how people think this is a good "horror movie". I love the Friday the 13th and Nightmare movies so how can someone make such mess of a movie. I was born a few years after this movie came out so I don't have any fond memories with this movie. I watched it for the first and last time a few months ago. It was very exciting to finally watch this hyped movie and I was so disappointed. It's like a looney tunes cartoon and it really proves that with its awful cgi.
The worst part of this movie is the characters, they are insufferable and you had to follow them throughout the whole movie. They're badly written and the acting was terrible. You may ask, "what about the two horror icons that are mentioned in the title?". Well don't even get me started on Jason in this movie. Everything with this Jason is awful. His visible eyes, his smooth black head and he look's so thin. I don't wanna hate on Ken Kirzinger but Kane Hodder should've played Jason in this movie.
Freddy Krueger is also bad in my opinion. He's just whining the whole movie and he even talked to the audience. And why would Freddy know how to fight like that, it's stupid. I never liked when Freddy was in the real world. He should just be fun and scary psycho in your dreams. The design of Freddy Krueger was decent. The only bad things is that his eyes look's so human and the skin look's so dry. The rest is fine I guess.
