Yet another example of how critically, criminally underrated this masterpiece of a show is. This is television in its loftiest form, not merely as entertainment, but as pure, unadulterated art. Seldom has the medium of animation seen a work so meticulous and so beautiful tied up neatly into such a concise package. Everything fits - the choice of minimal dialogue, the story arc, the closeup shots, the perfectly timed cutaway to the credits. Not a hair out of place. And the music. Gosh, the music. It tugs at the heartstrings in a way that honestly should be impossible for a kid's show. Like the title says - if Disney had produced this episode as a short film, it would be revered everywhere. The only difference is, for Bluey, this is just another episode. We lucky fans know to expect this level of excellence.

This was not a perfect movie. But goodness, did it come close. Absolutely the best entry into the MCU since Endgame, and one of the best ever. Excellent screenplay, great individual performances and a top-notch return to the humor that made this franchise a hit in the first place.

But of all the things this movie did well, the most significant to me was the pure emotion, the depth of feeling. It has been some time since I have seen a movie of any genre so accurately tap into and display the range of human emotion that this did. The pain, the relief, the loss, the exuberant joy - all portrayed so well I could not help but feel it too. This movie entertained me, yes. But it made me feel human. And they did it with aliens, raccoons, and cyborgs. Fantastic stuff.
