This movie truly captures the essence of how our daily lives are deeply rooted in emotions, and how we make choices and actions to live by that conditioning. It's really a great space to explore as nothing is really introspective until you navigate through your daily activities, decisions and figure out things in life, where it could really make a big difference to your life, and better. That's also the objective of the plot. The writing and narration is solid, with the plot points being totally appropriate and translates perfectly at the right time, to give us a wholesome perspective of the story towards the end.
Dhanush brings his lighter screen presence, more effectively, with thought and clarity to the character, making it relatable, even compared to his previous outings like VIP Nitya Menen truly nails it throughout the movie, and has a brilliant command over her craft and experience, delivering the right performance and banking on her acting sensibilities.
Anirudh is the right composer. Only he can do such a script.

The writing is really appreciable for its unique
setting of story. The scenes only from the last 10 mins of the first half until the remaining movie are newly thought out and innovative, that serves to the stage set, for which almost the entire first half is spent.
The movie is visually striking with a well designed VFX, which serves not for any choreographed sequences, but for the background and for the world where this movie is set.
As far as part 1 is concerned, it's the Ashwatthama character that takes the center stage and is a significant part of the storyline. The lead character of this movie takes over the plot much at the end of the movie. The rest play important characters who are defined in part 1 and are to be explored in part 2.
Another commendable aspect of this movie is all the characters have really huge motives, and they are juggled well within the larger setting of the story and even to take it forward for part 2.
Music by Santosh Narayan is fantastic and blends greatly with the story.

The production quality of this movie is truly commendable. All the cinematographic expertise of malayalam cinema, especially when it comes to capturing the vast landscape as an element of this arduous run for life, shows an excellent quality. Capturing the characters is also great with impressive coverage and camera handling, and it really pays off in the screen and storytelling. The lead character succeeds in not imitating, but in capturing the essence of the character, as the story proceeds forward. A R Rahman killed it, with really emotional bgm. The scenes are structured, but is not really noticed as we are lost in the landscape and an ever continous timescape. Day-night-day-night and you really don't know that three years have passed. Without a lot of characters, the scenes really make you feel home. The film also has a solid flashback or backstory that tells how much home means to the main character.
Though the movie becomes prolonged due to a few repeated scenes, the overall structuring of the plot is amazing.
