In the current Bollywood era filled with gore, crime, revenge, and bloodshed, Bhool Chuk Maaf stands out as a bold and timely film. It dares to hold a mirror up to our increasingly selfish, materialistic, and self-centered modern society.
I was quite surprised to see some reviews here focusing only on the religion of certain characters, completely missing the point of the film.
This movie challenges us to reflect on how we are losing empathy, compassion and humanity. In doing so, it strikes exactly where it should: our conscience, for those who still have one.
After a long time, I am happy to have watched a Bollywood film that does not rely on cheap thrills or violence. Instead, it delivers a powerful, relevant, and much-needed social message.
This is not just a movie. It is a message, and one we all need to hear.

The movie depicts the life of a lower middle-class man and the challenges he faces in his day to day life and work. It is not just about food delivery guys but any lower middle-class Indian. I am sure some middle middle-class Indians can also relate it with their experiences, especially during or after pandemic.
I guess almost every working Indian would be able to see themselves somewhere in the movie.
The movie could be too realistic to digest for some people, while some people would fail to connect with the character probably because they haven't faced same issues in their lives.
Hence, I do not recommend the movie to those who are looking for thrill, entertainment or to escape reality.
I liked the movie and want to watch similar realistic movies with depth.
Thanks.
