I binge watched this in 3 days and was totally hooked from episode one.
I haven't read the original books nor watched the Danish version so have nothing to compare it to. Having not seen the trailer either, I only decided to watch it as there wasn't much else that took my fancy. But I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The main characters were played amazingly. I haven't seen Matthew Goode in much else aside from Downton Abbey and his grumpy portrayal of Carl was quite humorous but also quite tragic at the same time. Alexej Manvelov did a fantastic job with his portrayal of Akram, I hope they delve a bit deeper into his character in the next season. The bond between Carl and his police partner Hardy was played really well and came across as very genuine.
I did think it started to drag slightly in the middle and maybe could have been wrapped up in 5-6 episodes. But I was glad they decided to end it properly with complete closure at the end. I've got sick of watching series with rushed or unfinished endings which are supposed to leave things up to audience interpretation, just find it lazy. I like things finished and completed at the end.
Overall a brilliant watch and I hope they bring it back for another season soon.

One of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. Amy Schumer is absolutely awful in this. Her acting is appalling and I really can't see how she has ever made it in films. Or comedy for that matter as she is not funny in the slightest. Her character is incredibly selfish and unlikeable in this. The script is ridiculous, could have been written by a child.
This film is based on a stupid premise and goes downhill from there. It's a massive waste of time. Produced by Adam Sandler - clearly his production ability is as bad as his acting too. Why he would cast Amy Schumer when she really doesn't have much acting ability, is beyond me.
This is one of many films that Hollywood and Netflix are churning out without any thought or talent. It seems like it's created just to give talentless actors like Amy Schumer a job.

For two people who claim they care about animal rights, to promote a sport which severely damages the health of these wonderful animals is objectionable. There is nothing glamorous about it. It is a rich elitist sport which abuses animals. The damage to Polo ponies is well documented now so you cannot bury your head in the sand.
The series really does descend into a tacky 'Real Housewives' show. It's a shame that there are no female Polo players shown.
I'd urge people not to watch it, it's self promotion at its best with no thoughts as to the ethics of this sport. It's time we thought a lot more about the purpose of the shows we are making/watching. Our entertainment is not more important than the wellbeing of these animals.
