Suspense. Tension. Impact. In a field of gems that is Dexter: Resurrection, Episode 7 shines as brightly as Episode 4, expertly weaving emotion and danger together while delivering standout performances, tense writing, and high stakes as we spiral towards what promises to be a riveting, unforgettable climax.
I can't believe I made it to 2025 without ever seeing or even hearing about this movie. With a quintessential 90s charm, fantastic humor, and a political backdrop that still rings 100% true over 30 years later, this movie is thoroughly brilliant and depressingly enjoyable. Eddie Murphy absolutely delivers through and through. A highly underrated hidden gem for sure.
You can tell how bad the movie is just based on the trailers, but then you watch the movie hoping that some of the positive reviews mean that the movie isn't as awful as you were expecting to be, and you are disappointed all over again. The entire movie, almost nothing happens. It takes an hour and 27 minutes before anything worth watching begins to occur. No matter how you dice it, Pedro Pascal was not the right choice for this movie. The tone for the movie is completely off. This is easily one of the worst Marvel movies to date.
