Although the story isn't particularly new - we've seen similar plots in various foreign films and shows - the execution was solid, especially considering the context of Egyptian production.

Strengths of the Series:

. Kareem Mahmoud Abdel Aziz shines once again in a non-comedic role, his second strong collaboration with Peter Mimi after Mousa.

. Visually strong direction and framing by Peter Mimi - the cinematography was striking and added real depth to the scenes.

. Ahmed Ghazzy continues to impress, proving himself as a powerful emerging talent.

. A strong opening, especially in the first episode, with well-structured storytelling and world-building.

. The action choreography was well-executed, with fight scenes that felt dynamic and engaging.

Weaknesses of the Series:

. The show struggled to maintain its initial pace and intensity, ending on a weaker note than it began.

. At times, the story moved too quickly, and certain plot points were left unexplained.

. The ease with which characters entered and exited the fortress felt unrealistic and hurt the show's credibility.

The inclusion of modern songs during certain scenes felt out of place and took away from the immersion.

Strengths of the Series:

The performances of all the actors were amazing and probably the best among Ramadan series.

Asser Yassin's acting was exceptional, and he changed his usual style. I was excited to see him in this different role compared to his real-life personality.

Mai Ezz Eldin gave a good performance as always.

Diab delivered the best acting performance in the series. He played the villain perfectly, and I was eagerly waiting for his scenes.

Ashraf Abdel Baky's natural acting was really good, but it wasn't his best performance.

Mahmoud Azab was a surprise in the series. I didn't know him before this, but his performance was outstanding, and I felt deeply sympathetic towards his character. His sad scenes were remarkable.

Ahmed Khaled Saleh is improving steadily, and his role in this series was also good.

Weaknesses of the Series:

Asser Yassin's character, "Ezzat," was too naive, more than necessary.

Some of the plot twists felt a bit unrealistic.

Mai Ezz Eldin's character, "Meyar," acted in ways that were hard to understand.

I wished there were more scenes for Ashraf Abdel Baky and Mahmoud Azab.

The ending was rushed and predictable. I was hoping for something more exciting.

Final Thoughts: Overall, it was a good series for Ramadan. I didn't feel bored while watching it.

The series is exciting, and the plot is well-crafted and unexpected.

Weaknesses of the series:

Shereef Salama's performance was the weakest I've seen from him. His reactions were repetitive and lacked depth, which is disappointing given his acting skills.

There was some repetition of past scenes without adding any new value to the story.

In conclusion, I must emphasize that the series was excellent. I was highly engaged and thrilled while watching it, and I personally consider it the best Egyptian series of 2024.
