I liked this episode. Shame to see so much negativity here about this episode.
Beautifully shot, beautiful sceneries and landscapes and a great insight to a character I've wanted to see more of.
Harmony Cobel once stunted, and emotionally cold opens up to her fanatic aunt in a rusty dried up town destroyed by Lumon.
We get an insight to who she was, her tragic backstory, and why she is the way she is.
I feel like this episode will age well in the end if the season ends in a satisfying way.
This episode shouldn't be an email. I WANT to see Harmony Cobel being vulnerable, I WANT to see how lumon affects other areas after ripping them apart.
Could it have fit in as a side story in a longer episode? Yes I would agree but just can't sign on on the idea that this is a bad episode.

The show is great and has potential to be a of the greats if they can keep up the momentum in season 2.
The shows concept is great and scary because it's believable to conceive that the idea of Severance could be introduced in real life.
The four characters who you follow in the show are quite literally wage slaves for a company, where they have 0 free will and have no choice but to work. It's overall very dystopian but is also surprisingly funny as the people in charge are quite weird, and seems to lack any self awareness despite them not being "severed".
It's a great critique of modern worklife and the boss/colleague relationships.
The bosses who try to treat colleagues as their "family", giving small petty rewards for their work, as well as the fake smiling and avoidance of any realness, or heavy subjects like for example "death".
I hope the show will delve into other characters background more in season 2 like Dylan, and Irv The acting is superb, especially the guy playing Milchik, Tramell Tillman.
Watch it!
