If you told me that a movie literally titled The Threesome was not only going to be hilarious but also grounded, mature, and frankly pretty beautiful, I would've thought you were crazy.

Let's start with the obvious, this movie is so funny. Almost every joke lands, several times I was laughing obnoxiously loud. Generationally hilarious performance from Zoey Deutch in this. I am baffled on how she isn't in more movies. I challenge you to think of a single movie where she wasn't the best part of it. She is so incredibly funny. Don't get me wrong, the other actors were funny too. Jabouki Young-White was super funny as Greg, and Ruby Cruz gave me some good laughs, but Zoey Deutch really carried it for me.

The movie was frankly sweet as hell! It's not easy to make a movie about a threesome turned double pregnancy into a heartwarming story about all the messy catches that come with being in love. Hate to keep beating a dead horse but Zoey Deutch nailed the heartfelt scenes as well! Truly, hats off to whoever decided to cast her in this because good lord was she great.

Saying that the movie The Threesome was shockingly mature sounds like an oxymoron but alas here we are. A big topic of this movie was abortion. And it looked at it, in such a real, profound way. It never turned into a pro-life MAGA thing, but it didn't romanticize abortion either. That's a tough, sad decision for someone to make. And someone should have every right to not want to get an abortion out of their own moral beliefs, as someone should have the right to get one. Ruby Cruz's character was originally portrayed as this "anti-abortion religious freak" but as you get to know her, it's just her fears and beliefs. She would judge herself for getting one, but she never once even hints that she doesn't believe in the right to, just that it isn't for her. This movie was really what being pro-choice is all about. The choice.

I was lucky enough to see this movie early, so that I can tell you guys, ignore the haters! This movie is awesome! It's a fun, rated R, romcom, that also makes you really think about love and relationships, what else could you ask for?

Against all of my expectations, A Nice Indian Boy was easily one of the standouts of the year. A film that disguises itself as a cheesy romcom, before hitting you with a sneak attack of grounded human emotions, beautiful monologues, and an incredible story about getting over your own emotions, family struggles, and letting yourself be loved.

To start, this movie was hilarious. I laughed loudly and obnoxiously more times than I could count (Wait for the twink joke, might be the funniest moment of any film this year). Karan Soni's comedic timing was impeccable. Each line was perfect. I need him in more stuff. Johnathan Groff bounces off of him perfectly. So if you need movie to laugh at, this will have you satisfied.

Next up, the emotions. This film took a heart wrenchingly real journey through how it feels to finally let yourself be loved. I saw myself in the Karan Soni's character so much, with the struggle of letting down your walls. We also received a standout performance from Sunita Mani. She was perfect in quite literally every scene. There was one scene in particular, where her character was speaking to Karan Soni's on the steps in their backyard, where she opens up about her marriage, and it shook me to my core.

Those were all the emotional key parts with the exception of the biggest one of all. Coming to terms with your queer identity, and the struggles that come with it. I love how they never showed Naveen coming out, it was an interesting choice that surely payed off. The struggles Naveen had with his parents, specifically his father was a beautifully fleshed out arc that left me in tears more than once. We received a literal Oscar worthy performance from Harish Patel, and I'm not even being dramatic. While Johnathan Groff's character was never the center of these arcs, but the points he was in, he took control of. It's easy to only look at Naveen's arc with his family, but Jay's was beautiful as well.

Overall this movie was an incredible, emotional movie, that catfishes itself as a romcom. So overall what Materialists (2025) failed to do. So please , watch this movie, right now, stop whatever you're doing, watch it now.

P. S. If you didn't cry during the mothers speech at the wedding, do you have no soul?

There was a LOT wrong with this movie. Plot holes galore, janky dialogue, and questionable character choices that didn't make much sense. Yet with all that was wrong with it, as much as I expected to hate it, I didn't.

There was a very comforting sense of simplicity in this film. It wasn't trying to be anything it wasn't, it promised mildly entertaining dinosaur action with attractive people getting eaten, and in that sense, it delivered.

Scarlett Joahanson gave her best try at ruining the movie, but thankfully she was unsuccessful. She had decent chemistry with Johnathan Bailey, but come on, who doesn't?

The part that shocked me the most is that I found my self actually caring about some of these characters. Not really the scientists, but Duncan and the family were very well written, and the fact you actually like them, made the suspenseful scenes actually suspenseful.

Overall, was this a good movie? Probably not, did I enjoy it, and is it worth seeing? 100%
