Honestly, everything about this movie feels low quality. The script is weak, there's a noticeable lack of chemistry between the cast, and the dialogue is often silly. It's just another collection of rapid scenes, attempts at humor, and the same old fight sequences. Expectations are typically high for a Guy Ritchie film because he usually delivers good content, but this one falls flat. AppleTV could certainly do better with its production and the selection of shows.
It's disappointing because AppleTV has the potential to invest more in quality productions from abroad, such as "Carême" and "Slow Horses," or in creating compelling documentaries.

Lynch is completely miscast. Her acting is poor. Why she was cast in this role when there are plenty of actresses to be better at it. It baffles me. Her character is not interesting just another role of an obsessive agent.
Eddie Redmayne can do anything, his range as an actor is impressive from theater drama, musicals, films. He never disappoints. In this role, he is solid in anything he performs.
The plot is interesting and catching.....funny how we cheer for the Jackal.... Not for the MÍ 6 agent. The series location is impressive and the plot is high octane thrill. It is not comparable to the original, this is a worthy adaptation to our current times.

I am still hooked on Alain Delon's diabolic charmingness. He had all the ingredients required for the character. The Plein Soleil captures the essence of Patricia Highsmith's 1955 novel. The 1999 film needed more artistry. Matt Damon was the worst of Mr. Ripley, and the movie was the worst of the remakes. However, I like the new remake on Netflix with Andrew Scott and Johnny Flynn. They are too old for the characters, and Dakota Fanning performs flatly. Amazingly, Highsmisth's psychological thriller has endured for more than 70 years as one of the best psychological thrillers adapted to movies.
