This is a surreal and avant-garde short film that pushes the boundaries of experimental cinema to the point of absurdity. With its dark visuals and disturbing atmosphere, this work challenges the viewer from the very beginning. You can't imagine how much my face changed when the needle scene started. I literally began to feel a completely different emotion, as if I had turned on a different movie.

Although at first the shock effect works without fail, the movie soon falls into excessive "edginess". The abundance of occult symbols, BDSM aesthetics and provocative elements seems excessive and even self-ironic. Nevertheless, the heavy atmosphere and creative visual style keep the attention.

Its eerie, almost hypnotic quality guarantees an unforgettable experience, but I don't think the movie is as good as it could be. I tried to find a plot in it, for example, in the scene of a conversation using sign language, which is dubbed in Russian, but it turned out to be just a set of "scary phrases" with no meaning behind them.

7/10 - unusual, but not perfect.

'Moonzy. Homecoming' is a wonderful cartoon that not only pleases the eye with its high-quality animation, but also surprises with a touching and kind story. The simplicity of the plot makes it easy to perceive, but at the same time does not deprive interest - this is the case when simplicity turns out to be a virtue.

I went to the film with a girlfriend who is not particularly familiar with the original series, and even she liked it a lot. The film creates a calm and pleasant atmosphere that is easy to immerse yourself in.

The ending was expectedly perfect - the norm for a children's film, but if the creators had allowed themselves a little more realism, the ending could have been really emotional and touching. No spoilers, but those who watched it will know what I'm talking about.

Overall, this is a kind and cute cartoon that you can watch with the whole family or with friends. In my case, it became an excuse for a nice evening with my girlfriend. If I enjoyed it, the kids will certainly enjoy it as well.
