The first one had a bit of disjointedness because it was meant to be a non linear film but they made it into a linear film. The jokes were also very toned down compared to aadu 2. Aadu 2 is one of the best swquels in mollywood. It is more hilarious, faster, has more well defined characters, and I will never forget the scene where dude and his gang are on the truck. To me, Aadu 2 was much better.
The vfx of this film is probably the best I've ever seen. It takes you to a completely different world without making you lose immersion for even a second. There is no question about that. That is why I will give it a 6. It's one of the most visually beautiful films ever made.
However, the movie was so insanely boring, I tuned out for about 40 minutes in Act 2 when I watched it in theaters. Keep in mind that I was very excited to watch the film and I have no problem sitting through very slow films. And ultimately, the worst part of missing this huge chunk was that I barely felt like I missed anything after I woke up. The rest of the film was just underwhelming. There is no point in being the most beautiful film ever made when the story is so absolutely terrible. At least the first avatar was fun and somewhat rewatchable. I have never bothered watching this film again and I think I am happy with that decision. I really hope the next avatar flops so cameron will put his efforts into something worthwhile.

I think the film is a masterpiece but there is one particular scene I will mention in this review. Our main character, Oliver Twist(A strange name for a malayali man), is talking to his son as his son is reading the autobiography of his fiancee's rich dad. His fiancee's dad is a well accomplished man in real life and we know that Oliver's son doesn't have respect for his father. So Oliver's son challenges his father if Oliver's life is worth putting in an autobiography. Oliver replies that he thinks so. And then his son ridicules him that Oliver hasn't done anything worth talking about in his life. Oliver remains silent and says he is going to water the plants. When reaches the garden, the expression on Oliver's face lets us know everything that the man is thinking about. That is one of the few brilliant scenes in the film. You can't ever miss this film no matter what.
