Only Adventure Time can manage to take its simple world and turn it into this. It's really true that the show has grown up with its audience and this episode is a clear testament to that. Not only does it explore new sides of characters long known, we get to see maturity explored through adult Fionna explored in a way the growing childlike Finn wasn't fully capable of. This show continues to strengthen its story, themes, and general emotion with every episode, with this episode showing just how versatile the premise of Adventure Time is and how excellently it can be utilized in the hands of a capable team.
