I was blown away, the voice acting was just phenomenal. Each character's emotions were conveyed so clearly and powerfully, bringing the story to life.
The animation was perfect, with fluid and consistent motion throughout the entire watch. The character acting in the episode was great.
The soundtrack was also absolutely incredible. The music perfectly matched the tone and atmosphere of each scene, adding depth and emotional weight to the action unfolding on screen. Whether it was during quieter, introspective moments or intense battle sequences, the score elevated the visual experience and left me feeling moved and invested in the story.
Overall, I give this episode a well-deserved 10/10. Absolutely incredible.

Due to the large amount of action they have to animate this season, I never expected a single episode to look THIS good.
Todoroki and Iida's scene animated by Yutaka Nakamura is one of the most impressive sequences of the whole series. Animating a whole city with rotation and fov change in 2D is INSANE. Nakamura truly is one of the greats.
Not only was the animation peak, but the plot, ost, voice acting, pacing and art direction all played a huge roll in making this episode one of the greatest in the series. The final scene made me bawl my eyes out, when I say this is one of the greatest episodes this anime has to offer, I mean it.

The complaint has never been that the sky is simply blue, it's that they weren't being creative enough. The blue sky has been completely dimmed this episode by the fire and the composition was beautiful. Season 7 has been so much better in this aspect.
For an expample, Kantoku Nakayama made a remark about the compositing filter (created by Director of Photography Takafumi Sawa) used in Shoji's backstory. The intention was a blur effect on the landscape and characters, as if the screen itself was crying.
This episode is exactly what the my villain academia arc should've looked like, the new director really is working wonders.
