It's one thing to choose to live that way if you are an adult and I can respect that. But to have children and force them to live without bathing, brushing teeth, etc. That is selfish and abusive. Those children have no idea how to take care of themselves and apparently no one cares enough to teach them. This documentary is raw, it is thought provoking, and I feel sorry for the animals and children there. If you don't have a heart before watching, hopefully you will have one after. To all of the adults out there with children, please put your children FIRST. They didn't ask to be here. Get over yourself and give your children a home. One can only hope the child that wrote and filmed this piece will continue to make films and be recognized for his talent.
MJ has been gone since 2009. It took me almost 20 years to watch it. Gen X'er that owns the original Off the Wall album and wore out multiple copies of Thriller, MJ is an uncomfortable subject because his music was the soundtrack of my childhood, bringing back SO many good memories. His legacy was tainted by stories that no one wanted to be true and I am not going to pick the sore here. This film allowed me to appreciate the talent and revisit the music without the guilt. Before the bizarreness, the rumors, the plastic surgery, Jackson was THE man. As an artist, he was WOW. What he had was real and it reminds us that there is talent, and then there is autotune and AI. He could dance, he could sing, he could entertain. He is the reason people bought ALBUMS, because you got your money's worth. I can't imagine being one of those that got to witness the magic (and hard work!) up close and personal. Thank you, Mr. Ortega for your love letter to the artist, Michael Jackson. Thank you, Jackson family, for sharing will fans.
