I didn't expect this season premiere to be amazing. However, it was a lot better than I expected it to be. The beginning of the episode was not great, and I feel like it lasted way too long. I feel like shows using AI/modern technology in an episode is overused. But this time it...worked? At least it wasn't as awful as other shows and episodes I have seen where AI is an important part to the story. There were solid jokes through the entire episode, and I loved how they did the end of the episode after Bart falls on the cake.

Overall, it is a great start to the season. Makes me have high hopes for the next few episodes.

I didn't expect an episode about tipping culture to be like this. In terms of modern Simpsons episodes, I guess it's a little below average than most. I like the lead up to Homer being obsessed with tipping, and Marge's reaction to the massive tip for the waitress. I also liked the kids reactions to having all those medical tests. I'm not a fan of when they just randomly put a song in an episode because a lot of times it just ruins the mood. Unfortunately they have done this a lot this season, and they put probably three random songs in this episode, all of which felt a bit strange, such as the weird Eurovision spoof with the obnoxious auto tune. Also, the ending at the awards show I guess felt a little out of place.

Hopefully the season finale will be better than this. Not sure if I would recommend this episode, but the rest of season 35 is very good.
