It breaks my heart to have to write this, and honestly I don't even know where to start. Obviously it's overly PC, that ruins it for one. I wish it'd been given to Netflix instead as they would have made the storylines interesting (and made them make sense). The whole thing has a preachy, arrogant feel to it. Narcissistic know-it-alls who think they have the right to go through life without being offended. Clearly a diversity and inclusivity manager had hold of the series. It isn't even accurate clearly written with leftist ideologies but absolutely no connection to the real working class. 1/10.
I was really happy to see this appear on my feed and clicked straight away. Well overdue in my opinion! 10/10 to big Kev for making my week. His latest stand-up is an absolute breath of fresh air and it's a joy to see him back after ages. In today's climate, and cancel culture where discussions seem to tiptoe around sensitive issues, Kev-I-N fearlessly wades in, offering a hilarious take. He dives into touchy subjects, life as an upper middle class man, becoming a dad and more. I've always been a big fan of stand up comedy and the escape it offers from day to day life, and unfortunately there doesn't seem to have been too much on offer lately. We need more comedians unafraid to push boundaries on stage, if you can't laugh at everything including yourself then what is the point? Here's to hoping for more specials from him in the next few years, his unfiltered humour is exactly what we need!
