It's cinematography, production, background, visuals and everything was perfect as one expect from a Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film
But in term of acting it was lacking (other than few characters everyone was really terrible at acting even some major characters)
As for plot and story :- it's tone and the concept was unique but nothing out of the box was in main story.
It was an average story with many plot holes ( there was supposed to be politics between courtesans but due to lack of brain in characters it wasn't that entertaining)
One can enjoy it without thinking too much and the most appealing part of this series was it's visuals. Everything other than that is either average or below average.

I may be biased since i have been reading its manhwa for years ( completed it more than 10 times already)
As for anime it was quite satisfying to finally see this masterpiece having an anime adaptation. I really liked it. Considering this was a 1st episode it was a brilliant move to let us see some important characters in between scenes
Some people won't find 1st episode to their liking but believe me you will love ot wait till some more episodes drop
I know it starts like this but wait till 3 episodes it will make you addicted to it.
Just hoping production will be deserving of this masterpiece in future.
