I cannot remember the first time I finished this animation but recently I just watched it again on DVD. I admitted that I couldn't remember the story at all. My feeling after watching it again is why I couldn't remeber this movie? So pure and beautiful. Not normally seen in animation, Only Yesterday showed me life. It's a beautiful life, a daily life, everyone you and me can have our own memory from when we were young. The story is so simple but touching so deeply and perfectly that when I finished watching, this story still vividly shows something in my head. This is a true masterpiece from Studio Ghibli for sure. But of cause, this movie is not just a child animation for children but for adult who experienced life themselves. If you like something so real, so true, so beautiful to watch ... I could recommended you Only Yesterday.

Rare show that can touch my feeling so deeply like this. Highly recommended for anyone who looking for inspiration and love. Mixing of business fighting and love story building from zero to hero. If you start watching it, you need to finish it very fast because of each episode invites you to the next one so you may watch it non-stop.
