I'm a fan of Marvel and have been since the start of the MCU, but I also grew up loving the Fox Marvel universe. X-Men, Fantastic Four, and even Daredevil were a big part of my childhood, and this film's goal was to remind you of those movies, whether they were good or bad, all in good fun. I feel like this film did a great job of sending off the Fox Marvel franchises while telling an entertaining story.
The action scenes were awesome to watch! There is some bad CGI here and there, but nothing major enough to detract from the movie. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds make an amazing and hilarious duo, keeping you entertained throughout their screen time. I was laughing the whole time.
However, if you're not a fan of Marvel or didn't grow up watching the older Fox movies, you might feel a bit lost, which is understandable. From an entertainment standpoint, I would give this film a 10/10, but as a film, it's not quite that high. The villains are generic and forgettable, the plot is a bit silly, and the stakes don't feel very high due to the multiverse, which allows everyone to come back in one form or another.
But at the end of the day, I genuinely loved this film and had a blast watching it!

I went into Twisters with low expectations, assuming it would be a typical disaster movie with dull characters, impressive visuals, and a weak storyline. I was partially right! Surprisingly, I enjoyed the cast quite a bit. Glen Powell's character grew on me as the film progressed, and I liked the other characters from the start. The visuals exceeded my expectations and were quite good. However, the movie dragged at times and had poor pacing towards the end, making me check my watch frequently. There's only so much you can do when the antagonist is a gust of wind. I'd recommend this film if you're really into disaster blockbusters, but otherwise, I'd give it a pass. My main takeaway is that Glen Powell is proving to be a relatable and promising star in Hollywood.
As an enthusiast of the 1969 Moon Landing, I find the entire event captivating and astonishing. I love consuming documentaries, films, and casual videos online about it. In my view, it's one of humanity's greatest achievements.
Going into "Fly Me to the Moon," I had little knowledge of what to expect. I wasn't sure what the film's focus or perspectives would be, but I knew Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum were starring. Admittedly, this casting was the reason it took me a while to watch the film-Tatum has never been a favorite of mine, and while I'm a big fan of Scarlett, her recent work since "Marriage Story" hadn't impressed me. However, I'm happy to report that both actors delivered strong performances, using their chemistry and vibrant personalities to illuminate the film's darker moments.
The drama leading up to the Apollo 11 takeoff was gripping, tense, and entertaining-a perfect combination. I also enjoyed the supporting characters, particularly Woody Harrelson and others, who kept me engaged when the leads weren't on screen.
What I appreciated most was seeing a different side of the story. It's always refreshing to avoid rehashing the same material, and this film provided a new perspective.
If I had to nitpick, I'd say the pacing during Act 2 was occasionally slow, but it wasn't a significant issue.
I highly recommend watching this film if it's still in theaters. The shots of the takeoff and the landing event were spectacular. In my opinion, this is the most underrated film of the year so far, and it deserves more recognition.
