This episode had everything you could want. What started as such a tense episode ended with such joy. The first 15 minutes had the feeling that a huge blowout was coming. This family has a fire in their bellies and and any second you can fire it starting to ignite. Yet the flames go away and everything suddenly relaxes. Old friends connect. Old lovers rekindle. New bonds are formed. Decisions are made. This family is first about food. And second about family. And family is all that matters at the end of the day. This messy family might have it's issues, but to see them so beautiful come together at the end might be the highlight of this entire show.
This season had a very slow, depressing start to it to begin. It was great tv but the vibe was off. Not a lot was going right and everyone seemed down in the dumps. The comedic/family vibe of the show had not come about yet. Episode 3 seemed to be going down that path until good old Richie and the gang pull out a once in a lifetime surprise for their guests. It is such a feel good moment that brings laughter, tears, and a feeling of hope back into the show. This episode is everything the Bear is about and what makes us all love this show so very much. Family, opportunity, friendship and memories.
Only 10 episodes every 3 years. I need to see the main characters that make this show great.very slow and drawn out after such an amazing previous episode. Love this show and everything about it but we were on such a great and epic roll that this seemed like a step back. The last 2 episodes I have much higher hopes for. The setting of this episode was in fact stunning though and the production crew did a great job. Harmony also was near perfect in her acting. Just disappointed to not really see the main gang the last 2 episodes when we probably will not get another season for a while. Long live Kier!
