So many reviews dated 25th June. Slating the entire series when only 3 episodes had been released!
I was hesitant because of said reviews, but having only known the character from Wakanda Forever, I still had an open mind.
The take on ambition to do something great and use the suit as a means to do that, just minus the wealth and generous cash flow. It shows what someone from a non wealthy background has to do in order to get ahead.
The characters took a while to warm to, but it happened eventually. It was a surprise to see the introduction of something that didn't normally go with technology (no spoilers) but it feels like Marvel are exploring different things to see what works.
Really enjoyed the last few episodes, future potential to see the story go further.

I knew the musical had a great reputation, after seeing the musical on film. I'm gutted to have not made the effort to go see it in person. I bet the vibe in the theatre is off the chart. Every minute, every song was highly entertaining.
A clever way of telling each story of the Six wives. It was an absolute bop from start to finish.
Each performance went from strength to strength.
Get Down was my favourite song, the lyrics, the cadence to the song and the sheer star performance given by Genesis Lynea....chefs kiss!
But honestly, the show the scene the costumes and the performances were incredible.

Firstly, why are there so many reviews dated before the series was released? I smell some gaslighting going on
Anyone saying this is true to the game style has never played the games.
The battle segments are entertaining and have similarities to the games dynamics.
The only thing that lets this down is the cleanliness of the animation. DMC is dark, gritty, somewhat medieval in its settings/architecture. This is too modern and doesn't quite fit.
The other thing I struggled with is the soundtrack. There have been teasers of Devil Trigger (DMC5) and the credits had a nice subdued Devil May Care. But where is the hardcore metal tracks that gives the series is quintessential frenzy vibe? It just seems all the music is focused around Lady (Crazytown) rather than Dante.
If it gets a series 2, I hope they take notes from fans or at least refer to the games for additional inspiration.
Don't tease us with Lucia like that either. She was a great character in DMC2 and should have been given more time.
