Dept. Q explores the enduring impact of trauma, the quest for justice, and the moral ambiguities inherent in law enforcement. The series doesn't shy away from portraying the systemic flaws within the police force, offering a critique that is both timely and thought-provoking. The interplay between personal demons and professional duties is examined with sensitivity and insight. Dept. Q - Season 1 revitalizes the crime thriller genre with its atmospheric setting, complex characters, and thoughtful exploration of justice and redemption. The series successfully adapts its source material, offering a fresh perspective that honors the original while standing on its own merits.
Wished more people acknowledged that this came out. Asterix and obelix is pretty famous in my country wich yeah is in europe but still.
I haven't read allot of the comics but i have watched a few of the films.
Both the two animated ones and a few of the live action films.
This one is connected to the two animated films wich i both really like.
This one is a mini series but i found to be wonderfully charming.
The animation is great and they also use allot of 2d elements aswell, i like the hero's aswell as villains. Im not going over the plot since its like 5 episodes that are each half an hour so i would be yapping endlessly.

I learned of it by watching an interview with the main actor, Ricardo Darin. I watched the trailer and I got hooked. Watched the first 4 episodes one after the other, I couldn't stop. It has the suspense, the drama, the end of the world feeling other movies don't have. One, it's not in the US or Europe. That alone gives it another feeling. Two, it is based on a 1950's comic. It won several awards. I bet you lost of well known sci-fi movies got their inspiration from it. It is Argentina's turn to show to the world that Hollywood isn't just about them. The scenes, photography, lighting, music, and acting are very well balanced with a written story that has shown a few plot twists...And it's only the beginning. I'm ready for more. I totally recommend it. I just ordered my copy of the original 1950s book. I liked it that much!
