I'm not saying this movie is bad, because it's not, but it sure as hell ain't great. The plot feels very rushed which compounded with the short run length of the film makes it fell almost like a TV show episode. Jack Black was decently funny, but he was only funny in the Jack Black way he always is.

I wouldn't say this movie was game accurate because we did see something's the never were and never will be in vanilla Minecraft, additionally I didn't really feel the mood of Minecraft, that feeling were 8 and when you sit down with your brother, load up the game and just chill, build, explore, mine. As I said, it felt more like a movie in Minecraft than a Minecraft Movie. I will give them credit for doing their best to stay loyal to the game though.

That being said, the movie was a fun experience and I'd recommend it to people who grew up with this game.

When I saw this series on Disney+ I expected it to be a typical low effort animation with the superheroes being the only good thing.

Holy smokes, was I wrong, this is easily the best animated series I have watched on the past two or three years.

The animation is fantastic, really does make it feel like '97, the writing is also surprisingly good, I expected stiff dialogue and a boring plot. I got the opposite the dialogue wasn't anything special but it was good, while the plot worked perfectly, I particularly liked how there were sneak peeks of other villains, without Marvel spoiling it prior.

Overall an easy 10/10.

After lots terrible CGI in the past years (specifically in Marvel), this was very refreshing. The cinematography was amazing, truly motion capture at its finest.

When it comes to the overall plot it was quite nice, great climax, fantastic character arc (especially for the main character), I'm not a fan of the ending though.

The whole movie is very long (the run time is a whopping 145 minutes) even though it's not a slow movie it still had some arcs which I found useless/unimportant.

I loved how the movie isn't a direct sequel to War, Dawn and Rise of the planet of the apes, and yet it still has very tasteful references to the past movies, or more specifically Ceasar

To summarize this is a movie for fans of the 2010s trilogy, its long but not slow and is overall a very good movie.
