The one liners dropped by Sam in this episode are lines that make me want to rip my ears wide open, stick my finger into my ear hole, and pull out chunks of my brain. The episode lacks continuity, flow, and comedy (no lines that even make me smile in the slightest) which is crazy because it's literally a comedy drama.
The action is unnecessary and just feels like a cash grab, not to mention the boring fight choreography.
The first two seasons did a really good job at balancing the fight with the dialogue. Unfortunately, the goofiness of this episode seemingly tear up everything I grew to love about this series.
These 9s and 10/10 reviews are misleading, especially since it has a lot to live up to (the first two seasons especially).
I thought the arcade character development was smart, so that's my one positive thing I got from the whole episode.
Check it out to prove me wrong.

What an incredible spectacular amazing cool fun and goofy movie. I enjoyed the funny animation done unintentionally, which had me cackling for 24 minutes straight. Wowzwrs, is this good. I hope more people watch this because of how serious the show is trying to be, just to be ruined by the old animation style. This was a fun watch and I was surprised by the quality in voice acting and flowing animation. However, I do have to say that it still misses the mark of being serious and sad because of the ...animation. How many times am I going to say the animation is funny? Seriously watch this if you get the chance.
I recently discovered bo burnham and watched his specials chronologically. If you choose to watch this special, I would highly recommend watching the last 15 minutes of "make happy" which is his third special available on Netflix.
This show surprises me in the sense where the comedy is almost not present throughout the entirety of the special, and yet engages the audience in the movie through music and deep monologues. Because this special was made during the height of the pandemic, it focused more on mental health than on slapstick or dark comedy, which all leads the special to an amazingly performed song towards the end of the special called "all eyes on me." The song is a perfect representation of realizing nothing we do matters, which although seems pessimistic, inspires the audience to live life in a different light. There are so many different moments throughout this movie that deal with mental health, and the wisdom of this ex-comedian brijg light to what nobody wants to talk about.
Personally, words can not express what this special has done for me personally. I used to not have any motivation whatsoever, but lines such as "you say the whole world is ending, honey it already did" have helped me overcome my difficulties and pursue meaningful and necessary things In my life. The only reason I am writing this review is to possibly get one more person to watch and experience the special and be inspired by it.
