I tried to give this show the benefit of the doubt, but mehn, the characters made it really hard to keep going, especially Sandra. Her performance felt overacted yet emotionally flat. It's not just that she's loud or ambitious; she comes across as forced and not believable. The dynamic between the other characters also lacked depth, with cliché dialogue and weak acting. I think Seth had a bit more nuance, but even that wasn't enough to carry the show. Honestly, it's TERRIBLE, and the overall tone felt more like a high school drama than a serious legal series. I couldn't go beyond two episodes.
This series ends up being more complicated than it needs to be. The flashbacks and scenes are too many, and most of them don't really add anything to the case, making the show just feel unnecessarily long and tedious.
The legal terms are already hard to follow, so it didn't need to be more complicated with unnecessary "suspense" scenes. "How to Get Away with Murder" is a similar law series but very captivating, which proves you can create suspense without overwhelming we the viewers.
The actors here also don't leave much of an impression, which makes the show feel pretty flat and monotone, especially for a supposed thriller. It feels like the complexity is there just to cover up how dull it actually is.

To be honest, I honestly don't understand why this drama has such a high rating. It was really disappointing. The story is painfully basic, predictable, and lacks any creativity, while the characters are flat and forgettable. There're a lot of good K-dramas out there, but some of them are wayyy too overhyped, and this is definitely one of those. The pacing was terrible-slow and dragging at times, making it hard to stay interested. It's honestly boring, unoriginal, and doesn't stand out in any way. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it never did. Total waste of time, had to drop after 4 episodes.
