"Tujhpe Main Fida" tries to deliver an intriguing and suspenseful plot, and to some extent, it succeeds in building a sense of thrill and mystery. The murder of the girl seems to be the main driving force behind the plot. However, thriller isn't even the genre of this show-it's supposed to be a romance. Unfortunately, the romantic aspect is completely overshadowed by poor direction and subpar acting. The story hooks you in with its potential, but almost every other element of the show drags it down.
The dialogues feel unnatural and poorly written, making it difficult to connect with the characters. On top of that, the delivery is unconvincing, adding to the feeling that the performances lack depth. The acting comes across as wooden and forced, with the cast failing to truly embody their roles. Even the character development-arguably one of the most important aspects of any story-is completely absent. The characters remain flat and one-dimensional, leaving viewers with no one to root for.
The show relies heavily on stereotypes rather than offering anything original or relatable. Its overly generic approach makes it bland and unremarkable, especially when compared to other college dramas. The story becomes predictable, following the same tired tropes we've seen countless times before. To make matters worse, the plot feels forcefully stretched out, dragging on far longer than necessary. The use of side characters is a clear attempt to extend the plot, but they don't serve any real purpose or add depth to the story, making their inclusion feel pointless and forced.
Despite its thrilling premise, the show suffers from uneven pacing. Tension often fizzles out before it reaches its peak, and scenes meant to be impactful come across as unintentionally awkward. Poor direction further magnifies these flaws, making it difficult to stay engaged.
In the end, "Tujhpe Main Fida" is a case of wasted potential. It serves as a reminder that a strong story alone isn't enough-execution matters just as much. A lack of originality, weak performances, and poor direction turn what could have been a captivating series into a forgettable one.
