Out of all of the John Woo movies, this is probably the second greatest made, behind Bullet in the Head. When I say that, I'm not talking about how much I like it if that makes any sense. I like A Better Tomorrow and the Killer better, but I consider Just Heroes a better movie. It is incredibly engaging, especially near the end. You get constant opinion switches with how you feel about characters. You hate one then end up hating the one that you liked. You also have no idea on what's going to happen next. The stand offs are so well done and clever, I also loved the unique cast. David Chiang, Kuan Tai Chen, Ti Lung, Stephen Chow and Danny Lee in the same movie felt so different, and that it wasn't a shaw brothers movie also gave them a great different movie to star in. I couldn't get over the refrences to A Better Tomorrow, and to end it off, the real killer was the last person that I expected.
