Mickey 17 aims high but crashes hard, delivering a confusing, dull, and emotionally flat sci-fi experience. At the center of it all is Robert Pattinson, whose performance is strangely lifeless. He drifts through the film like he's just as bored as the audience, failing to bring any weight or charisma to a character that should be wrestling with existential stakes. His portrayal of Mickey lacks urgency, nuance, or even basic engagement-as if he's unsure why he's in the film at all.
But the bigger issue is the script, which is a disjointed mess. It constantly hints at big ideas-cloning, identity, the meaning of sacrifice-but never commits to exploring any of them with real depth. The dialogue feels overwritten and unnatural, bogged down with pseudo-philosophical monologues that go nowhere. Characters barely develop, plot points are introduced and dropped at random, and nothing truly sticks emotionally or intellectually.
Director Bong Joon-ho has proven he can blend genre and substance brilliantly (Parasite, Snowpiercer), but Mickey 17 feels like a pale imitation of his own past work-style over substance with no beating heart. In the end, this film is more forgettable than thought-provoking, and unfortunately, Pattinson's hollow performance only reinforces that.

Fear Street: Prom Night is a painful reminder that not every horror franchise revival needs another installment. This movie is a complete mess from start to finish, failing in almost every department.
First, the acting is atrocious. Every single cast member delivers their lines with the emotion of a cardboard cutout. There's no chemistry, no charisma-just flat performances that make it hard to care about anyone's fate. It honestly feels like a high school drama class project gone terribly wrong.
The special effects are laughable, and not in a good way. The attempts at scares are completely ineffective-nothing lands, and it all feels recycled from better horror movies.
The humor? What humor? If they were going for campy fun, they failed. The few attempts at jokes fall flat, and the rest of the dialogue is just cringeworthy. It's hard to believe this script made it past a first draft.
Overall, Fear Street: Prom Night is a waste of time. It's not scary, not funny, not entertaining-just bad. JUST TERRIBLE.
