It's crazy, Jalan Pulang is truly mind-blowing. I thought at first it was just a standard local horror film where the devil appears, screams, that's it. But apparently not, bro. This film is more of a horror that plays with feelings, what makes you uncomfortable is not just because of the ghosts, but because of the gloomy atmosphere and the deep conflict. Throughout the film, I felt like I was being invited into the mind of someone who was under a lot of stress but couldn't tell anyone. The sound is scary, but not tacky. The visuals are dark but cute. And the actors' acting is really good, like you can feel the burden without having to explain it through long dialogue. What makes it cool is that this film really dares to raise the theme of family trauma and loss but wraps it in subtle and elegant horror nuances. So it's not only scary, but it also makes you think. This is the type of film that once you've finished watching it, you'll still be thinking about it when you get home. Really salute the production team, this is local horror that has risen to the next level!
This Netflix drama is a heartfelt adaptation of the Taiwanese series "Someday or One Day". It tells the story of Han Jun Hee, who is grieving the loss of her boyfriend, and mysteriously travels back in time to the year 1998, where she meets a boy who looks exactly like him. The drama blends elements of time travel, romance, and nostalgia, making it both touching and thought-provoking. The love story across different timelines is beautifully portrayed by Jeon Yeo Been and Ahn Hyo Seop, who bring an emotional depth to their characters that will leave viewers invested in their fate.
"A Time Called You" is perfect for those who enjoy a more melancholic, bittersweet love story with a sci-fi twist. The time travel element adds layers of complexity to the plot, but the emotional core of the show is always the deep connection between the main characters. The drama explores themes of loss, fate, and how love can transcend time, making it a standout romantic drama for 2023.

As a sequel to the first "Sebelum Iblis Menjemput," this movie had a lot of expectations to live up to, but unfortunately, it doesn't. The film tries too hard to be scary with overly dramatic effects and a messy storyline. There are a lot of possessions and creepy scenes, but they don't tie together well. It feels like the movie is throwing too many horror clichés at the audience without really building a cohesive plot.
The acting is okay, and you can tell the actors are doing their best with what they've got, but the script is all over the place. If you're looking for a horror flick, there are better options out there. This one is more likely to confuse you than scare you.
