I saw this show once in quite a short time period, because I really anticipated it, this series was the reason I subscribed for Prime. I have regretted my haste a little, I think this program should be taken slowly, stepwise, so you have time to digest it. If you forget or pretend to have not seen the flashbacks to the future in the last season, you can say this series is spectacular. I am not sure if I will be able to watch it through again as a whole, because it has profoundly affected me. It feels so real, you feel the life so hard, the drama in life, not that it is a bad life, but you know that it can never be easy and you never can live the what ifs, because you are only in it just this once, and you have to deal with that. The creators are true talents that they can give you this feeling, I only felt that with books before. But to end on a high note, my favorite moments are when Rose doing stand-up, when Abe has an epiphany and when Midge make her breakthrough.

I have seen many many episodes of this on TV, so I have a well-defined opinion. It is terrible. The only funny thing in it is Barney who is so over the top, but if something is funny it is because of him. Everybody says the end is a bust, and it really is. If the creators knew this is going to end this way, why they kept going so long (I know, money), because after all this time and hundreds of episodes later this ending really have lost its meaning. Anyway, the characters in this show are really irritating, especially Ted, but the others too. When I first watched this show in English it struck me how slow they spoke. I never noticed that in the dubbed version.
