It truly is one of, if not the best looking and sounding picture of all time.
Technical aspects aside, what truly makes Shawshank Redemption such a beautiful and eternal film are the themes and ideas it explores. The film is a magnificent story of tragedy, injustice and pain but also friendship, hope and freedom. Some of the most valuable life lessons are taught and explored in this work of Frank Darabont.
