And so we finish in Sapporo with the best (in my opinion) episode so far. We rejoined Jimin and Jungkook to find them high in spirits though tired in their bodies after their adventures in the previous episode.
This episode was so warm even though the temperature was cold. It had much laughter, playfulness. Lots of eating and drinking. We saw them interacting with staff more than we had in others which was so nice to see. The lightness was always fun and the same brains and chemistry they've shown us through each episode clear. They look out for each other, know what the other needs and provide it without question. I feel like I said similar each week which I believe just shows how consistent and authentic they are.
I think the true depth of what they have and what this series showed was demonstrated in episode 1 and here in episode 8. Felt like there was an urgency in both episodes which makes sense as they may not have fully known at the start of episode 1 whether Jeju or Sapporo were certain to happen so carving out that time at the start of Jungkook's own solo journey was clearly important to them, and they didn't know they'd enlist together either. Each episode felt like they were wanted a mix of still moments to think and take everything in, just talk perhaps and a lot of it we would never see, combined with activities they'd form memories from and laugh about long into the future. Coming to episode 8 and the reality of AYS ending for now and enlistment looming larger and larger as the episode pushed on, it became less carefree and instead the last few minutes were emotional and bittersweet, and something I believe and will repeat always that we should never take for granted they shared them with us.
Thank you to them for inviting us with them and everyone involved for making it happen. I'm really so happy that they loved it all to the extent they spoke of. I hope that these memories they made help them to keep going while they're away and make them laugh and that when they have the time to talk, they're already planning right up to season 12. (Maybe by then, moon travel will be possible and a promise can be fulfilled). Recommending this series to anyone who wants to see three very different places through the eyes of the most special people.

A gorgeous seventh episode. Pure relaxation with their affirmations that 'we are sure' to more active pursuits like snowboarding and skiing. This show makes me want to visit Sapporo asap with someone that can make my heart feel so light too.
The way they play together is so sweet and fun to watch. They played cards, had fun in the accommodation's spa including a hot and cold tub and there was laughter each step of the way. The drive to and the scenery for their snowboarding and skiing was magical. Their excitement along the way is infectious. Jimin was super persistent - if at first you don't succeed. Skiing looked effortless for them.
I think the reason this show works so well is that they just get each other and know each other. All through this series no matter what even in the midst of being sick, they still have the most fun doing just the smallest things to the more daring activities. The intimacy is instinctive and natural and they don't miss a chance to make the most of each moment and that's the case whether it's in this context of just before military enlistment or not. It would focus the mind more I imagine is all.
A joy to watch. These seven episodes have gone in a flash and next week will be bittersweet. I hope the memories of moments we've seen and those we've not are making them happy while they're away.

We met Jimin and Jungkook, this time in Japan. Those familiar with the GCF series starting in Tokyo will know very well how much the country means to them both.
This episode was the warmest, comforting hug. Food, lots of food with our two. Care, consideration and such natural intimacy with the obvious comfort they give to the other as well as many praises. Their shared interests and how playful they are too. Endless happy giggles, YouTube memes, roleplays again and please this isn't a spoiler to say, lots of snow too. I'm not sure how anyone could find anything other than joy from watching them. I said this in other reviews that I'm thankful they had all these experiences and are ending this series in such a pretty place with each other before they headed off to serve also with each other. Excited for episode 7 next week. I'm still very sure about this gift of a show, are you?
