Lazaro is beautiful but will never be understood by a lot of people. I made this review to kind of counter the other one I've seen with only 1 star, to give my vision of things.
Lazaro is gorgeous looking and matches the Watanabe style just fine in my opinion. If the show might seem weaker than the two others masterpieces that are Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, it aint really. While there's not a lot going on yet, you can feel a glimpse of the future of the show. Its slow paced, but well paced. Characters are interesting and original, same for the world building, story, and artstyle. Wait until y'all see the next episodes, you will get what I'm saying.
Dont even worry Watanabe never misses.

First of all let's put some context :
Joker (2019) was absolutely insane, a near-perfect movie, very dark and driving us with Arthur in his craziness.
But, the sequel, Joker Folie à Deux (or Joker 2), is being destroyed by reviews. And I get why : it isn't what people expected. There is a lot of music and dancing, which take us out of the dark world that is Gotham for Arthur. And people hated to see that. But they're not objective, in fact all this musical and imaginary things just showed how mad crazy was Arthur.
So even if, I admit, some scenes were kind of annoying because of this, it represented perfectly what it's like to be a crazy psychopath.
The worst is that because of this little inconvenience, people completely forgot the rest of the movie.
The scenes in the courthouse ? The climax ? The very good ending ? The loneliness extremely well represented ? Arthur, again very well developped ?
Im kinda mad that people only see the "bad" stuff of the movie, which again is merely subjective. Like what if there's no gunfight and kill every three minutes y'all can't like it ?

This show is everything. There is no better show except Better Call Saul, a show in the same universe, which is infuriating because they're two masterpieces of cinema. Breaking Bad is the best when talking of character development, each character is insanely well written and does a difference. The show is enjoyable and good from beginning to end. Yes, even the end, unlike most shows, is amazing, it's even the apogee, the climax of the show, which again is astonishing. There is a reason for the only 10/10 rated episode of history. Ozymandias, the 14th episode of the last season, is absolutely perfect. Not my favourite though, I prefer Felina and Granite State (both really well rated too). In brief, it's the only show with Better Call Saul that can be called perfect.
