I will not write what the series is about, what questions and problems it raises - I will leave it "behind the scenes".
I want to say right away that I am not very familiar with Turkish cinema.
But the series Seref Meselesi (A Matter of Honor) is perhaps the only series of all the series and films from different countries that I have watched over the past 20-25 years that gave me the effect of complete and deep immersion.
When you lose reality, the ground goes out from under your feet, your heart is in pieces, your soul is in tatters, and your mind explodes. This is something incredible!!!
I do not want to offend anyone - there are many worthy works. And there is the absolutely brilliant Il Padrino (The Godfather) with Al Pacino in the lead role.
But for me personally, this series became the pinnacle of unattainable perfection and complete immersion in a whirlpool of emotions. It left such a strong impression on me. And it still hasn't let go - for me it remains at the very top, even higher than the top.
I know that this is a remake of the Italian series L'onore e il rispetto, which I also watched and appreciated. But the script is the same, and the story is completely different.
The amazing director Altan Donmez knows how to not only reveal the full potential of the actors and the entire team - from cameramen and editors to stylists and costume designers - but also take this potential far beyond the possible! Bravissimo!
The entire cast gave 200%! And the entire film crew worked at the highest level.
The music, both Italian and Turkish, envelops the scenes and further enhances the emotions.
But I still want to especially highlight Kerem Bursin. Yigit Kilic performed by him is something incomprehensible!
Not a single character in any series or film that I have seen in the last 25 years has caused such a contradictory range of feelings in me.
You love him and hate him, sympathize with him and repel him, admire him and fear him, respect him and do not understand him - and so on and so forth ad infinitum.
Incredible, brilliant performance and complete immersion in the character. Brilliant!
And again - transformation. Kerem Bursin is always different, unique and inimitable.
Once again - Bravo! Bravissimo!
Yes, I think that this series is unfairly underrated. It rightfully deserves to be among the leaders.
For those who want to experience incredible emotions and intense work of thoughts - I strongly recommend watching it.

The series "Immortals" may seem like an entertaining fantasy series about vampires, but this is not quite true. The series simultaneously raises acute topics and questions that have worried all of humanity for centuries.
Life, death, eternity, love, power, money, human vices... I was struck by the depth and philosophical subtext of this series.
The slums of Istanbul are shown very atmospherically... People living at the very bottom, forgotten by everyone, who struggle daily simply for survival. Have they lost their humanity?... This is for the viewer to judge. But at the same time, we are shown the so-called ruling class - the rich, the well-fed... Have they lost their humanity? Of course.
We see many different characters from different social strata. And everywhere the main question arises - is a person able to resist his vices and base desires? Is he able to remain a Human?
And in contrast, vampires are shown to us. A different kind. Standing above humans in the food chain.
And the main vampire is Dmitry, played by Kerem Bursin! Kerem Bursin amazes with his brilliant acting talent again. In front of you is really not a human, but a vampire. Another creature. Eyes, look, voice, manner of speaking, gait, manners, posture. Yes, this is an ancient vampire. Bravissimo, Kerem Bursin! First-class performance! It is his behavior, his speeches, his words and, ultimately, his love that pose all those global questions raised at the beginning of the review to the viewer.
And, of course, the entire cast, camera work and music managed to create a dark and gradually increasing atmosphere of coexistence between people and vampires, which makes this project unique.
It seemed to me that the series lacks a little dynamic pace. But the idea and execution itself, considering that this is the first Turkish project in this genre, are very worthy.
I would like a continuation. The miraculous resurrection of Dmitry and... the flight of fantasy of the director and screenwriter...

Kerem Bursin knows how to surprise! And in our modern world, it is very, very difficult to surprise a sophisticated and spoiled viewer.
But Kerem Bursin did it again! He surpassed himself. He exceeded all expectations.
A dizzying and atmospheric photo shoot of ELLE MAN ARABIA with unexpected images of Kerem Bursin.
The highest professional work of the entire team: stylist, photographer, cameraman, creative director and, of course, Kerem Bursin.
All images are created magnificently. Each of them is unique in itself. They seem to be built on contradictions: elegance and simplicity; rebellion and calm; harmony and excitement.
Each photo is unique and captivating. Amazing angles, poses, light, color scheme, depth - all this plays and interacts, attracts and fascinates, captivates and does not let go. Full immersion in the action and in a small event.
In each photo, Kerem Bursin's eyes attract, his gaze envelops... They reflect: depth, mystery, and an invitation to a story full of secrets that is about to begin and the viewer is in for a whirlwind of exciting events, full of mysteries, adventures and elements.
Cartier accessories look incredibly natural and authentic on Kerem Bursin.
Is there a level higher than this?
I believe there is - because with Kerem Bursin the impossible becomes possible.
