Soooo I'm not like a BL fan, I'll watch something if the plot seems good. And seeing edits of it on tiktok back when it released piqued my interest , so i had to check it out! Little did i know i stumbled upon one of the best romance dramas I'd ever see. But seriously this drama was so incredible that I'd genuinely, personally, put it up against some rather large scale kdramas like mr plankton. IMO. I adore the actors and their chemistry, I think they did such an amazing job. And the storyline itself is so so well done. It expressed young love and mental health contrasts so well. I'm a 15 year old girl and I see myself in yeowoon hahaha. The cinematography was also beautiful. I don't even know what else to put except for the fact that I even read the entirety of its novel, keeping up with it as it kept releasing. And I don't really do that, ever. I'd love love love to see more from the directors, writers, and actors. It's obvious that the entire team is so talented. It deserves so much more attention.
It's not inherently a bad movie, I watched this on a sleepover while I was half awake and it helped time pass haha. I thought Anya Taylor Joy did a good job acting in this and I definitely think she was the right person to cast. I love her and I'd say she was the highlight of the film. I just have to critique the representation of individuals with DID. This concept may be relatively fine on its own, but I dislike how they tried bringing in psychology and true facts about the disorder to seemingly make the movie more credible and "intelligent." When this movie is literally painting a picture where those with DID are dangerously close to murdering someone. Like, make a movie with that concept, but making it seem credible is a bit...???
