I'm a huge Dexter fan. I loved the original, even though the ending was kind of butched. I have to admit I was very skeptical of this show considering the cast, but they knocked it out of the park! The acting from everyone is so dead on it's magical.

Although casting isn't perfect, It's hard to truly replicate other people's body types (talking about how different both Deb's are) but it's all forgiven imo.

The way it's shot just captures the feel of the old Dexter. It's beautiful. I love it. Long live Dexter.

I look forward to this every week. If you are a Dexter fan and you've been on the edge I highly recommend this show to everyone.

Now I enjoyed this movie, but it fell flat!!! I was so disappointed. The Jester's acting was great in my opinion and it was awesome to see them convert a short horror series to a movie. I Hope it has a sequel and redeems it self. You don't give any clarity on how Jester is related to the girls. The movie didn't changed jester into this weird mental health thing that somehow also did its own thing at times. The story falls so short it honestly wouldn't have made a difference if there wasn't any. I Love the new look of the jester though I hope they learn from this and try again, but not into something nobody wants.

Look. I'm a big horror indie fan, but this fell flat. The girl that played in vhs is a great actress but this movie didn't do her justice. After some research I see they filmed during Covid, so I'm assuming they had to make cuts or changes to work with protocol back then.

I wish they would have more of a "darker" feel to it. I don't know how to describe it. It's just very bland, basic, and questionable. It's a tired plot and drags unfortunately.

My favorite character is was the Eli Character. He just stood out to me. I don't want to spoil anything but even if I did it wouldn't matter, because it goes just how you'd expect unfortunately.
