I watched this with open mind despite knowing the hate and all, I never read the book. My verdict, I'd watch the movie with dokkaebi, Junhyok, Jihye, Namwon that dokja read

The first 30 minutes was a hard watch for me. Train, water dinosaur, snoozefest. It's just so slow and Dokja took forever doing all that inner monologue. The effects and camera angle are so bad, it felt so cheap. They should've make the dokja intro part at faster pace so they could include more Junhyok.

Dokja seems like 2 different person, a lame weak man pushover that can be bully and secretly cunning manipulative when he's with dokkaebi? His aura fits better when he's calculative but that's not how a person that easily get bullied will act so this is a weird character storyline. For a moment he became selfish to have green spot for himself when he knows there are other secret spot. While he was so eager to save everyone on train. Like?

Sangah seems clueless at first but quick to read the situation. Heewon talks 1 line? Her face shows like she wanted to say something but nothing comes out, her cool fighting scene feels like oh yeah that's cool I want more, but since she doesn't talk it was hard to click with her character. Hyunsong, idk why they rewind his friend's past 2-3 times, waste of screentime. Calm strong but seems slow to react. I won't cry if he dies. Gilyeong is the cutest, hope to see more cool insect control by him.

Junyhok, supposedly a hero but his backstory almost just as vague as other supporting characters. Should've have more aura farming scene to emphasize on hero nature. Here he's too monotonous, very unlikely for a hero. Jihye, 1st appearance really fit the climax to save them. But everyone was shown how they got their weapon while she just shows up with sniper and that's it, she calls Junhyok master but he never acknowledge her but he did say Namwon name. She only shoot once at dragon fire while others fight to the end. So is she with the team or is she not

It felt long in the beginning but towards the end it seem to have abrupt end and should've been made into 2 hours film. But maybe because they really want to do the sequel?

Not your typical romcom or zombie thriller. Feels more like a movie than kdrama. Director should've start the show with female lead since kdrama fans love beautiful visuals. And show more of them together to get viewers connected with them til 8th ep

**They'll show more of their relationship in between as flashbacks, like the scenes in Shop for killers (same writer).

Pros: Good acting, good chemistry between cast, easy and straight forward plot, zombies are bloody gore, the lead couple are cute in flashbacks, the FL team looks promising for a fun ride with zombies, ML seems creative and not scared fighting zombies so it's not dumb and dumberer just a hint of humor take

Cons: Too short and quickly done scenes, unsure which direction it'll take next which is good to keep us guessing but also worry it'll be heavily leaning to soldiers instead of the romantic leads. I hope I'll come back and say how happy there's very little military scene especially the squad leader we don't really care about them like that.
